Multiply Numbers with Exponents
In order to multiply two numbers with exponents, we need to know something called the additive property of exponents. This states that if two numbers have the same base, you can combine the bases and add the exponents. Let's take a look.

Both 2³ and 2² have 2 as their base. Since their bases are equal, we can use the additive property of exponents to combine their bases and add the exponents.
